Vardavard is one of 7 major river-valleys of Tehran. Its Headwater is from Alborz Mountains, flows to the west side of the great Tehran and run into Karaj River. River-valley Ecological Restoration and Remediation project is started with major goals such as secure riverside and Watercourse, enhance to urban eco-system, make connection between city, citizen and river-valley, remediate river system and feed underground Aquifers, and finally improve and renovate the old city fabrics.
Accordingly, the team elected 2 disciplines (River engineering and urbanism) to achieve the goals and presence of water in city.
